She was leader of the 2012 "Fierce Five" as well as the"Fierce Five," and the 2016 "Final Five,"" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics team. In the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she won a gold medal in the team competition as well as teammates Gabby Douglas and Gabby Douglas the sole Americans who have won back-to-back team gold medals. Raisman also earned silver medals for individual all-around and for floor exercise. She is the 3rd most accomplished American gymnast in Olympic history, behind Shannon Miller and Simone Biles and has won six Olympic medals.Raisman was also a member of the gold-winning American teams at the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the bronze medalist in the world championships in floor exercise in 2011. She was also a two time national champion in floor exercise (2012 and 2015) and was the reigning champion on the balance beam in 2012. She is also a five-time medalist at the all-around national championships (silver, bronze, 2010 2011 and 2012 and). Inducted into The International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in the year 2013.
