Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is a well-known American performer and actress. Her parents are Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier and both are television news directors. Bell was raised and born in Huntington Woods Michigan. She is of Polish descent (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen's talents for performing were discovered at a very young age. In 1992, she was awarded her first role at the auditions for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother before the age of 13 and was cast as a model on advertisements on television and newspapers. Then she began taking classes in acting. Bell played an uncredited character in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a member of the drama and music clubs at Shrine Catholic High School. She was a part of Dorothy in the school production in The Wizard of Oz. Bell went to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater after graduation. Bell was a graduate in 2001, left her university studies to perform her role as Becky on Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell made her first credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. But the film cut her character from the film and her appearance was only in the credits. Bell was part of the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
