Robyn Rihanna, better popularly known as Rihanna in Barbados, is a Barbadian performer and musician who has released hit songs like Pon de Replay Umbrella SOS and Take a Bow. Being a young and successful singer-songwriter she is already one of the most successful selling artists. Born in Barbados and grew up to reggae. As she started to sing, she turned into an accomplished singer. As a result of the turmoil in her household and the fights her parents had, she decided to take up music. Soon she decided she would like to make a profession of a singer. In high school, she formed a music group and was asked to sing with Evan Rodgers. The producer was impressed by the ability of this girl. He requested for the teenager to move into New York and pursue a professional singing career. Rihanna happily accepted. Rihanna became a huge hit when her debut album hit the market. her sultry foot-tapping tracks were the most popular with the youngsters motivating Rihanna to make films too. Young and talented, her name is today considered a teen idol and a style icon. Rihanna makes good use of her fame and supports numerous charity causes.
